1. Now that you have found the
California Women's 500 Club website,
tell all
your other 500
club members about the site. Post a notice
about the
website in your bowling centers and pass
notices out at meetings
and tournaments.
(CLICK
HERE to download and print notice flyers).
2. To know what’s going on
throughout the state, and to see what is listed
for your
500
club, frequently check the “Upcoming Events” page
in the
website.
3.
Frequently check your club’s information page to make sure the
information
about your club is still accurate. If
something is incorrect or has changed,
please do an update using
the online update form.
When
you have
elected a new President, Secretary or Tournament
Director, it is
important to update your Club’s information as
soon as possible.
Also when email addresses, mailing
addresses or phone numbers are
changed, updates are important.
This way everyone will have the
proper contact information.
There is no guarantee that this information
will get updated
unless someone does an online update for the club.
(CLICK
HERE FOR SOME EXTRA TIPS ABOUT EMAIL ADDRESSES)
4. If your club’s Secretary and
President both do not have Internet access
or email addresses,
submit the contact information about someone else
on the Board of Directors who does have email. Hopefully that
person
will be
able to relay important information to your Board. Submit
this person’s
information in the update form in the section
titled “Other Person To Receive Email”.
5. When sending regular Postal
mail to a local 500 club or to an individual person,
make sure
to include both the club's name and the individual's name on the
envelope. The US Postal Service has a rule that is now
being used in many
areas that restricts delivery to the
registered mail recipient only. This means
that if you
send a letter to a club and the club is not listed as being a
registered
recipient at that address, the letter may get
returned without being delivered.
If the club's name and
the person's name are both on the envelope, there is a
better
chance that the mail will be delivered since either the club or
the individual
may be authorized to receive mail at the address.
6. Send the State Women’s 500 Club
your tournament entries and results via
email. This will
cut your expense of having to make, deliver or mail extra
copies.
Simply tell the person asking for these to go to
this website and print
their own copy.
Having copies of
your tournament entry forms in our website
will increase the
participation in your tournaments simply because more bowlers
will be able to
see what you are offering.
7. If you have other Board
members or club members that would like to receive
email from
the State 500 Club concerning upcoming events and important
information, have them email the webmaster so that they can be
added to
the email distribution list.

All of
the local 500 Clubs should try their best to send at least one
delegate, or more,
to the Annual Open Membership Meeting.
All of those attending have the right to
vote on the issues and
elect the Officers of the California Women’s 500 club.
The
more clubs and members represented…..the better.
